I measured each and every size of jean offered in this style and concluded that they run true to the stated size. The waist on each one I measured was just a touch bigger than the stated size, but most jeans are “vanity sized” just a little bit and then you can expect just a slight bit of shrinkage from washing. My advice would be to buy the size you normally weear. Here are the measurements I got off the actual jeans we have in stock:

Our Two Cents
I like these new Covert jeans mainly because they are simple in design and looks and they are comfortable. The cut is “average” meaning not baggy and not skinny. The feel of the denim is not pre-washed, but not stiff either. I would bet the jeans will break in and become favorites. We turned a pair inside out and took a couple close-up photos for you so you could see the areas of reinforcement. The yellow fabric is the Kevlar that provides the abrasion protection. The pants have pockets for armor and Scorpion sells some armor for the hips and knees, but I’m a fan of the D30 CE armor we carry. It is VERY flexible and conforms well to the body and in a jean like this where you don’t want the profile of the armor to show under the pants, I think this is an ideal choice. I checked myself and the knee armor and hip armor fits perfectly in the pockets of the jeans without any modification. And with the D30 you’ll save a few bucks off the price of the Scorpion offering (which we decided not to stock). The D30 hip pieces are shipped with a little cloth pouch to hold them, but just remove the armor piece from the cloth pouch and use directly in in the pocket in the hips of the jeans. Take the link below to add that armor if you like. Overall, I really like these jeans and I think they’ll be a favorite riding pant for you. :: Paul, 03-06-14
