The Skull Leather Jacket from Icon is perfect for those who don’t want just a plain old jacket. This thing has loads of attitude. From the Icon crossbones patch on the back, to the skull patches on the front and chains on the sleeves, this thing is bad. Constructed from a very heavy 1.2-1.4mm leather, the Skull jacket should hold up very well over time, and in a crash, it will offer plenty of protection. For abrasion resistance, leather is hard to beat. There is CE armor in the shoulders and elbows, as well as a foam back pad. Hopefully you don’t have to test those features though, so let’s talk about comfort. The Skull jacket should work well in cold to warm temperatures. There is a fully sleeved insulated liner, and leather does an excellent job at blocking the wind. In the warmer months, there are zippered vents on the front and back of the torso, as well as vents on the shoulders. The inner side of the sleeves is perforated too (cool star shaped perforations, I might add), that will do a good job adding some airflow. Of course, being a black leather jacket, it’s going to get pretty toasty in the heat of summer. But as they say, it’s better to sweat than bleed, right?
