REV'IT! Fusion 3 GTX Glove

Fusing the characteristics of high-quality, breathable waterproofing of the GORE-TEX Z-liner with comfort level boosting Exkin® Platinum® and 3M™ Thinsulate™ insulation would be enough to create a serious, winter weather-beating pair of gloves, however with the Fusion 3 GTX our R&D and Innovation departments kicked it up another notch.

High tech, high quality Designed specifically to work in conjunction with heated grip systems, the inside of the gloves is made to conduct the warmth from your grips, while protecting your fingers from the cold trying to penetrate. So not only will it help retain body heat in these easily chilled parts of the human body, the Fusion 3 GTX will actively draw on the heating from your grips. High-tech insulation keeps your digits up to temperature, while the soft, fur-like liner keeps things comfortable without loss of feel.

Sport-inspired innovation The protective outer of the glove is assembled from durable, soft, and sensitive goatskin leather, Vapex® water-repellant fabric, and PWR|Shell Twill Stretch, covering the Temperfoam® protection at the palm, thumb, and knuckle. The TPU hard-shell palm slider has been carried over directly from our sports gloves, as just one standout sport-inspired design cue that highlights the performance-focused and innovative design approach of the Fusion 3 GTX gloves.

Sizing Information

We find REVIT gloves run a bit on the snug side as compared to most US based brands. The fit is very similar to Alpinestars which also fit more snugly than other brands of gloves. The tendency to run small is not so noticeable that we’d advise you to buy one size larger, but if you are sometimes in between sizes, your best shot would be to choose larger. Hopefully you’ve had some experience with buying gloves and can choose based upon the fit of a previous pair. If you have no previous experience with glove sizing, go here for help.

Our Two Cents

The REV’IT! Fusion 3 GTX Gloves are very similar in both price, looks and features to the Kodiak 2 GTX Gloves. Both are considered a winter glove and both are weatherproof and waterproof, but still, there are some key differences.

Like the Kodiak 2 GTX the Fusion 3 GTX Gloves feature a hook and loop enclosure at both the wrist and cuff to maximize protection and comfort, stretch fabric and lips at the fingers, thumb and back of hand, as well as a push-pull tri-fleece liner. Additionally both gloves have the same style Hard Shell knuckle with Temperfoam underneath it, PU Injected finger knuckles again with Temperfoam under neath and a hard TPU slider at the palm.

From a convenience standpoint both gloves have a material on the index finger to help wipe your visor as well as touch screen compatibility on both the index finger and the thumb, and like the Kodiak 2 GTX Gloves, the Fusion 3 GTX gloves did well with the index finger but struggled with the thumb on my iPhone.

Where the two gloves differ primarily is the fact that the Kodiak 2 GTX Gloves are primarily leather on top of the hand while the Fusion 3 GTX Gloves instead feature more Softshell and PWR Shell Stretch on the top of the hand. From a looks standpoint the Fusion 3 GTX Gloves also only come in black and offer a classic look, however on the wrist the REV’IT! logo is not 3D and there is additional reflective writing at the bottom of the wrist. On the inside again the Kodiak 2 GTX features more leather, and where the Kodiak 2 GTX has a hard slider on the thumb, the Fusion 3 has a soft padded Temerfoam.

The other main difference with the Fusion 3 GTX gloves and you can say their main purpose for being different is that they are specifically designed to work with heated grips. The interior insulation that is 3M Thinsulate G 100g and Exkin Platinum insulation material is only featured on the back of the hand, this allows the bottom or inside of the hand to protect agains bad weather but in a way that it allows all of the heat from your heated grips through. If your motorcycle has heated grips this feature is definitely worth a try.

From a comfort standpoint considering how heavy duty winter these gloves are they are quite comfortable with adjustments in two parts of the wrists as mentioned earlier as well as stretch featured at the upper hand and fingers. The gloves also feature a good sized pull tab, grip patches at both the palm and thumb as well as a high loft fur liner and a push-pull tri-fleece liner.

Overall the Fusion 3 GTX Gloves from REV’IT! feature a great combination of protection, comfort and protection from the elements, while letting you take full advantage of your heated grips and they offer a great value in the price range. Overall they are solid pick when it comes to a touring based winter glove. I would say the key in picking these over the Kodiak 2 GTX gloves would be if you have heated grips, otherwise the Kodiak 2 GTX Gloves would be the better choice as they are insulated all around vs just the back of the hand and feature more leather. :: Damir 3-8-24
