My thinking is that most people will use this jacket without the liners or just with the windproof liner. That being the case, if you are between sizes, I’d suggest you choose the smaller.

Our Two Cents
The HRX is made with a sport/street style. The molded external shoulder armor gives the jacket a great aggressive style. The jacket also offers great protection as well. There are black leather overlays on the shoulders, on the elbows and in the kidney areas. For impact protection you get elbow armor which is a hard-plastic-over-foam type GP armor (also CE approved). In the shoulders you get rubber type CE armor, and the back pad is a CE approved, light weight energy absorbing type. The torso area of the jacket is mostly a mesh material. Climate control is accomplished with the removable windproof/waterproof liner along with a very nice thermal liner. You can use these two liners together for very cold or wet/cold conditions, or use just the waterproof liner in mild/wet weather. And finally, you can take both liners out for warmer weather. Overall this is a well constructed jacket that should be able to get you through the entire riding season. I bought this gear for a 6,600 mile trip from Tucson-Minneapolis-Chicago-Boston-Pensacola-Austin-Tucson (with other stops in between). I went through some cold mountain roads in Colorado, dry heat in Arizona, New Mexico, and Texas, and humid heat in Florida and Louisiana. There was also about 200 miles of good rain on the way out of Chicago, plus another few hundred in Nebraska, Minnesota, Ohio, Alabama, and Florida. (Read more...)
