Our Two Cents
The Menace riding shoes from Cortech are designed to emulate the look of a Chuck Taylor like shoe while providing safety features that allow them to be CE certified. Protection features include impact and abrasion resistance, rubber toe caps, molded heel and toe caps, molded and contoured ankle protectors, medium density foam padding with polyester mesh lining as well as a uni-directional anti-twist molded PPE midsole. Additionally overall construction is a heavy duty poly canvas, and the shoes feature a High-density, anti-slip rubber skater styled sole with a Super comfortable Cortech reactive foam comfort sole by Armanox®.
Overall the Menace riding shoes look and in many ways feel like regular, casual shoes, but at the same time while wearing them you can tell that they offer protection and they will give you the piece of mind of knowing that your feet are better protected versus wearing a regular pair of shoes. The Menace shoes come with a 4 year workmanship and materials warranty. The only thing to note is the fit, they do fit true to size and true to width, but a few of the staff members stated that they fit a tad “tall” meaning that you would easily have some room for a pair of insoles if you were wanting to add some. Overall for the price point of $99 there is a good amount to like. :: Damir 7/6/24
