FirstGear Rainman Jacket 2013

The Rainman jackets are made slightly taller and larger than standard with the idea you’d be able to wear them over a jacket without having to choose a larger-than-normal size. We advise you to buy the size you’d normally buy in men’s clothes (like your tee shirt/jacket size).

The Rainman jacket is a higher quality rain jacket constructed of nylon. Nylon feels more like fabric as opposed to the plastic/rubber feel of PVC (the material used in cheaper rain gear), so you’ll enjoy wearing this jacket. The jacket is nicely styled and has a waistband adjustment to help keep the material under control in the wind. There is also an integral elastic cord (adjustable too) built into the bottom hem. The main zipper of this jacket is constructed with an extra flap to help prevent leakage. A hood is included—hidden under the collar. You wear this hood under your helmet and it will help keep the rain from getting in around your neck The neatest feature of this jacket is the integral storage pouch which allows you to store the jacket in a very small, convenient pouch in your luggage (see pic by taking the “View Larger Images” link above). This jacket has some nighttime reflectives to make you more visible at night. We have some good night shots of this in our photo gallery.
