REV'IT! Torque Jacket for Women (Sold Out)

REVIT’s women’s styles are sold in European sizes. We used a size 38 on our Fit Check Mannequin Laverne who is a standard size Small, Dress size 6. The jacket measured out correctly at about 36” max. The waist sizes listed in REVIT’s standard chart are smaller than the actual sizes for each jacket. For example on the size 38 we used for the photo shoot on Shirley, , I measure the max waist at about 32”. Laverne has a waist of about 26” and it looks just fine on her. The jacket flares out a bit at the hip line to about 35”.

The Torque jacket for women is a new street style for 2020. This jacket has a mostly-mesh shell with a removable waterproof liner for use in wet weather and/or cooler weather. Armor is included for the shoulders and elbows and provisions are built in for the optional back protector.

The Torque jacket’s feature list falls somewhere in between a few other newer styles in REVIT’s lineup. Like the Airwave 3, Tornado 3 and Eclipse jackets, this one offers a shell design which is mostly mesh material… I’d say about 60% is mesh and the rest is solid textile. So even though it isn’t a FULLY mesh jacket like the Airwave, it will work very well in very warm weather. It also has a removable rain liner. This liner installs inside the jacket and will keep your body dry in a rain, but it can also serve as a wind blocker too. So wearing the rain liner in cooler weather can extend the comfortable temp range for this style. As a comparison on this point, the Airwave 3 and the Eclipse jackets DON’T have a removable liner but the Tornado 3 jacket has a bit more elaborate liner in that it is waterproof AND lightly insulated, and it also is finished out to serve as a stand-alone “destination” jacket.

Armor inserts are included for the shoulders and elbows as standard. It’s REVIT’s CE Level 1 SeeSoft armor which is pliable and comfortable. The armor is a rubber compound and it is molded in a honeycomb pattern which allows plenty of air flow. The back protector is optional. The jacket is equipped with a pocket to accept a Seesoft CE Level 2 Back Protector Insert type RV (RV refers to the shape). Take the link below to order. For women’s size 36 choose size 3; for 38 to 44, choose size 4 and for 46 and larger choose size 5. At the risk of over-comparing, the armor in the Tornado 3 is CE level 2, the Airwave 3 has the same armor as with this jacket and the Eclipse has a standard Knox Lite armor package (presumably less expensive than the Seesoft).

Belt loops are provided in the rear/tail area of this jacket so you can attached the jacket to your riding jean belt loops and/or belt. There seems to be plenty of night time reflectives included front and back so you can be seen at night. :: Paul, 02-17-20
