Sizing Information

These gloves fit consistently with the major American designed brands we carry such as Tour Master, Joe Rocket, FirstGear, etc, which are “normal” in fit and size. And they are a bit more roomy than some European brands such as Alpinestars and REV’IT! that typically run about a half size smaller than the American “normal” fit. Hopefully you have some experience with buying gloves and can choose based upon the fit of a previous pair. The only thing about the fit worth a mention is that the fingers seem just a touch on the longer side. So if you have average or longer fingers, these will work well. If you have short fingers, keep looking.

Our Two Cents

Icon Brigand gloves are a light duty glove which is mostly mesh on the back of the hand to flow a lot of air for hot weather use.

You’ll see a lot of small molded pieces on the back of the hand of these gloves. And while they may help some in an accident, please don’t think they are “armor” because they are mostly cosmetic rubberized pieces. The mesh material on the back of the hand will be very welcome in hot summer temps. Stretch fabric is used between the finger.

The material used in the palm of the hand is a man-made leather, which I’ve seen introduced this year by a number of high quality glove manufacturers. The material is advertised as more abrasion resistant and with better wear than natural leather. Could be… time will tell.

One feature that sets this glove apart from most minimalist summer gloves is the longer cuff. I like a longer cuff in summer because they can sometimes hide your wrists from the summer sun if your jacket and shirt sleeve is a bit short or is being blown up your arm a little bit by the wind. The longer cuffs can prevent a painful sunburn. :: Paul, 11-12-19

PS: I just can’t NOT comment on Icon’s marketing blurb below. Really? I certainly would recommend a more substantial glove than the Brigand for your next knife fight/good rumble.

Icon says: They say “don’t bring a knife to a gunfight,” but it’s probably in your best interest to come equipped with the Brigand glove. It loves a good rumble and doesn’t shy away from conflict. Its durable textile chassis is paired with a high-flow mesh backhand and knit nylon finger gussets for uncompromised fit, feel, and breathability. The secure wrist closure keeps your glove in place when the going gets rough. Touchscreen capability makes using a smartphone or GPS effortless. Light, tough, and dependable, the Brigand glove goes the distance.
