Sizing Information
The sizing on this jacket is comparable to other “alpha” sized jackets and is also in line with men’s clothing sizes, so choose the size you normally wear in jackets and shirts. If you want to double check sizing using a tape measure, refer to the chart below. Don’t be concerned that the belly dimensions are much bigger than your measurement—this is part of the “relaxed” styling. And there are snaps to cinch down the waist area another 2”. There is also a side zipper that will open up the waist 2” if necessary (see closeup photos).

Our Two Cents
This jacket lives up to it’s name with edgy, urban inspired graphics on the front and rear of the torso. If the looks are something that appeals to you, then you are in luck, because this also happens to be a very nice mesh jacket. The Urban Destroyer is made of a tight weave mesh that will allow air to pass through, but should still provide a good level of protection for a mesh jacket. The key impact areas (the shoulders and elbows) are reinforced with ballistic nylon which holds up better to abrasion. Inside the jacket you will find CE approved armor for the shoulders and elbows, as well as a foam back pad. All three armor pieces have ventilation holes which helps keep the jacket extra cool in the heat. When things cool off there is a wind blocking liner that can be installed to extend the usable range of the jacket into the cooler months. For comfort there are waist adjustment snaps and expansion zippers, as well as sleeve take up straps on the arm. The Urban Destroyer has two hand warmer pockets and an internal document pocket as well. None of these pockets are waterproof so if you need to protect your wallet or phone you will need to have another solution in case of rain. Overall this is a very good quality mesh jacket that should serve you well in those hot months of summer.
