Sizing Information

Like most Alpinestars gloves, these gloves ran a bit smaller than most glove brands we carry. They are not a lot small and most people can choose the size they normally wear in gloves (especially if a snug fit is preferred). If you are sometimes between sizes, then choose the larger of the two. Hopefully you’ve had some experience with buying gloves and can choose based upon the fit of a previous pair. Our Two Cents

The Polar Gore-Tex Glove is an excellent all-weather riding glove that offers protection not often found in a waterproof/insulated style. These gloves combine quality materials and good construction. The Gore-Tex membrane is designed to keep the water out, while still allowing hand moisture to escape. For colder weather use the glove is moderately insulated on the back of the hand. The palms get less insulation to improve feel for the controls. The lining is a very soft and comfortable “fleecy” material. The cuff of this glove combines a stretchy knit material and a Velcro adjustment tab that makes for a snug, but comfortable closure that will keep out cold air. The high quality leather should provide some good abrasion protection in the event of a crash, and there is a very substantial amount of protection on the knuckles, fingers and palm. I also like the fact that the glove has a very positive wrist closure that will keep the gloves on your hands in case of a spill. Overall I think this glove offers an excellent amount of protection from the elements and better than average crash protection (for a waterproof/winter style anyway).
