Sizing Information

Alpinestars gloves generally fit a bit snug as compared to other brands, but we found these gloves to fit especially small. Therefore we recommend you buy one size larger than you usually wear in gloves. If you have no previous experience with glove sizing, go here for help.

Our Two Cents

The Vega Drystar gloves use Alpinestars’ Drystar membrane to keep your hands dry in wet weather. In addition to the Drystar waterproof liner, there is Thinsulate insulation for warmth. This combination should leave your hands warm and dry in all but the coldest of temperatures. The Vega gloves use a combination of leather and textile material which helps keep the gloves light and flexible, although in my experience textile gloves are not quite as warm as insulated full leather gloves. The knuckles, back of the hand, gauntlet and palm all use leather, which provides superior crash protection. In addition, there is a carbon fiber knuckle protector which adds some nice looks as well. These gloves have a bit of a unique look to them, with a bit of a futuristic feel. The interior of the gloves feature a Velour lining, which is very soft and should keep the gloves nice and warm. The lining is attached to the interior of the glove so it cannot pull out when you remove the gloves. For some detailed pictures of these gloves, click the “View Larger Images” link above.
