Sizing Information

We measured and tried on a selection of these pants and we developed a size chart to help you choose a size based upon your waist and inseam. The size chart below is partially ours and partially REV’IT’s chart. The largest waist size listed in the chart are with the waist adjusters full open. The waist size adjustment straps work pretty well to give you size adjustability… we estimate about 2” as the range indicates.

As you can see in the chart, the pants are available in regular, short and tall inseam sizes, so choose the inseam you normally wear in slacks or jeans. The pants also have adjustability of the armor height (independent of inseam length) which can be accessed by pulling each leg inside out (see our photo gallery for a pic of this). Velcro allows you to set the armor in different spots and you can check how the armor feels on your knee when you are sitting on the bike and decide which position seems best.

Pant Size Waist Range Inseam Reg Inseam Short Inseam Tall
Small 28-30 33 31 35
Medium 31-33 33 31 35
Large 34-36 34 32 36
XL 37-39 34 32 36
XXL 40-42 34 32 36
XXXL 42-44 35 32 36
XXXXL 44-46 35 32 36

Measurement tip: With a style like this that MAY be used as an overpant, you’ll want to measure your waist over the clothing you intend to wear under the pants. And measure yourself fairly high up the waist because protective style pants like this are cut to ride higher on your waist than a lot of modern jean styles (so relying just upon the size jeans you buy might result in motorcycle pants that are too small). Right below the navel is about the right height on the waist for measurement.

Our Two Cents

REVIT’s Factor 4 pants are made with quality materials and have armor included. They have a “fixed” waterproof liner and a removable thermal liner. These pants are made with basic materials to keep the cost low. These are perfect for everyday street riders… particularly those who ride in cooler and wet weather.

REVIT offers a wide range of gear. Some are made to be less expensive for everyday riders who mostly want function without the complexity and that’s what we have in the Factor 4 pants. The pants come with a “fixed” waterproof-liner situated behind the outer shell. This type of liner is effective and functional and is ideal for those that frequently ride in wet weather. The pants, however, aren’t vented in any way, so I’d recommend these pants for milder weather use or cold weather use. In hot weather, I think they’ll be cookers. In cold weather though, they ought to do well. You can zip in the removable full-leg thermal liner to add insulation. With the insulated liner and the waterproof liner to block wind, I think you could use these pants down to pretty cold temps.

The waistband setup is just like nearly all other REVIT pants. They have the very sturdy slide lock closure and slider buckles on each side of the waistband for adjustable. There is a short rear zip which should connect to almost all REVIT jackets (with a mating zipper). The pants come with the mating half of that short zipper so you could easily adapt any jacket to connect to the pants with the help of a tailor to sew the mating zipper half into the jacket.

Armor is the same as almost all other REVIT pants too… CE level 2 armor in the knees and level 1 armor in the hips. It’s a very comfortable and effective setup. The leg ends have the usual zipper with Velcro close adjustment to fit over your boots. I think these pants are a nice setup at a good price if your climate needs are a match. :: Paul. 03-15-19

REVIT says: Look no further than the Factor 4 trousers for those needing to cover the basic needs when on two wheels. They’ve been engineered for various weather scenarios thanks to the inclusion of a hydratex®|Mesh G-liner (keeps you dry) and a detachable thermal liner (keeps you warm when being used, or cool, when taken out). These trousers will also keep you safe via the SEEFLEX™ CE-level 2 knee and the inserts for the SEESMART™ CE-level 1 hip protectors. The outer shell is a combination of abrasion- resistant polyester and comfortable stretch materials; for added protection and comfort.
