Our Two Cents
The Soft Shell jacket liner from FirstGear is really an all-purpose garment. Basically, it’s a light weight jacket which has a wind-stop exterior and a combination of fleece and nylon on the interior. The idea would be to use this jacket liner under a riding jacket to provide a layer of warmth and wind protection. The jacket looks and feels just like a nice light jacket you could wear anywhere (not tight to your body like underwear). You’ll be able to get tons of use out of this either on or off the bike. And for commuters or touring riders it would be ideal. You could wear it under a protective jacket, but then use it as street clothing when you get to work or wherever you are going without having to make room for extra clothing. The all-black color goes with anything and will stay clean in appearance. The material doesn’t wrinkle easily, so it looks sharp even after being wadded up (as in wadded up in the shipping box on the way to us!).
