Sizing Information

We spot checked a couple sizes with our Fit Check Mannequins and they fit just fine. I’d advise you to pick the size you normally wear in men’s clothing. The styling of this shirt is made to fit loose and comfortable and is not snug fitting at all. If you are between sizes, I’d advise you to choose down.

Here is an estimated size chart published by Speed and Strength which gives max chest and waist sizes for each “alpha” size. The figures in this chart are pretty typical for men’s clothing.

ESTIMATED SIZE CHART

Size Chest Waist
Small 38 – 40 36 – 38
Medium 40 – 42 38 – 40
Large 42 – 44 40 – 42

Our Two Cents

The Standard Supply Reinforced Moto Shirt is for those that like the comfort and simplicity of a flannel shirt, but want something that gives just a bit more protection than a plain shirt.

The shell of this shirt is 100% cotton, so the shell itself won’t provide any abrasion protection. But in the shoulder and elbows, the shirt if fitted with DuPont™ Kevlar® fabric. You can’t see it because it is sewn in between the shell and the liner. Also, this shirt has a front zipper in addition to the snaps. If you only had the snaps, the shirt would instantly pop open if you fell, but the zipper makes it more secure. This jacket is not supplied with impact protectors and there are no pockets to add any.

The Standard supply comes with a removable full sleeve thermal liner so you can add in the liner and wear the shirt in lower temps, so with that feature you’d be comfortable in about three seasons of the year. You’ll see a hoody in the pictures. That is attached to the removable liner, so when you take out the liner, the hood goes with it. The hood itself is a thin cotton material which could conceivably be used under a helmet (would depend upon your neck length I guess).

A couple other nice features for the motorcyclist… all four pockets in front close with either zippers or snaps to keep your stuff from blowing out. Also the collar tips are secured with snaps also, so they don’t flap against your neck at highway speeds. :: Paul, 03-07-18
