REV'IT! Cayenne Pro Gloves (Sold Out)

We find REVIT gloves run a bit on the snug side as compared to most US based brands. The fit is very similar to Alpinestars which also fit more snugly than other brands of gloves. The tendency to run small is not so noticeable that we’d advise you to buy one size larger, but if you are sometimes in between sizes, your best shot would be to choose larger. The Cayenne Pro glove by REVIT is a very robust short cuff glove for adventure riders (or any rider for that matter). This glove has a very high level of protection and a unique and secure closure mechanism.

This is an all leather glove so it will be more sturdy and abrasion resistant than many other short cuff gloves. REVIT offers a lot of short cuff designs and many are geared toward hot summer use and those designs use more textile and mesh materials. Being an all-leather chassis, the Cayenne Pro will be best for all seasons except for perhaps hot summer use. There is a bit of perforation on the leather and the knuckle protector is also vented, but you won’t get the venting you’ll see with the other summer gloves. But when you compare this glove to the more summer oriented styles, it’s just a full step beyond in terms of protection.

The knuckle protector here is more than just a cover over the knuckles. It extends down the back of the hand almost to wrist so it gives a much larger area of coverage than most. And while you are looking at the knuckle protector, notice how the wrist closure incorporates a strap that wraps from the underside of the wrist all the way over the top of that knuckle protector. When these gloves are strapped on, they aren’t coming off!. On the palm side of the hand there is a good size hard slider in the palm and then there is a smaller slider on the side of the thumb.

The finger design of the Cayenne Pro makes for a comfortable and flexible feel. The fingers on the palm side have the seams sewn to the outside which is a comfortable glove design because those cut seams are outside the glove rather than being sewn to the inside against your fingers. And on the back side of the glove, there are built-in articulation pieces to make it easy and natural to grip. It’s surprising how comfortable the glove is given all the armored hard parts attached.

The inside of the gloves are lined with a soft nylon material to help with comfort and on the outside are some patches of reflective for nighttime visibility. So if you are looking for the most protective “adventure” style you can find, I think you’ve probably found them. :: Paul, 02-05-19
