Sizing Information

We generally find the fit of REVIT gloves to be just a bit more snug than US brands (Tour Master, Joe Rocket, etc), but this glove feels just about right in the size XL I usually take. But it is a winter glove and those are not as form fitted as street or race gloves, so maybe that is why I don’t detect the usual smallish fit. So buy the size you normally wear in gloves. And if you are sometimes between sizes, choose the larger.

Our Two Cents

I really like this new Stratox GTX glove. The quality is great and it utilizes genuine Gore-Tex as the water proof/breathable liner. Lots of gloves boast that feature, and many people think it is worth the premium price it generally carries, but I think the price of these gloves is VERY reasonable.

The overall feel inside the glove is very nice. These gloves are fully lined with a short pile fleecy type material. The gloves have Thinsulate and I’d characterize the overall thickness as a bit more than average. These aren’t a COLD weather glove, but they’ll do well in all but the most chilly conditions.

Over the knuckle is a soft molded “seesoft” armor protector unit (Seesoft is REVIT’s house brand name for their impact foam armor). The heel of the hand has a bit of padding as well. And since the palm is goat leather, these will provide a good deal of abrasion resistance should you need it.

The gloves have an adjuster strap to secure the gloves on your wrist so they don’t go flying if you fall and the gauntlet is adjustable with a wide Velcro flap so you should be able to wear these either over or under sleeves. When you get the gloves, you’ll notice the closure at the wrist is a bit different. You actually tighten the wrist strap by pulling back the gauntlet flap, so it becomes somewhat of a “one motion” closure… that is after you get the hang of it. I didn’t immediately “get it”, but after a few tries it makes good sense.

Overall, I think these gloves are a great value for a very nice winter glove with premium materials. :: Paul, 10-05-16
