Sizing Information

Have a look at Joe Rocket’s sizing chart. We feel this size chart gives an accurate estimate of size for this product. The rain pants that come with the jacket have a lot of stretch in the waist so will accommodate a fairly large number of waist sizes; inseam on the pants is a fairly standard 32”.

Our Two Cents

The Trench Coat from Joe Rocket is basically a mesh jacket along with a full two piece rain suit. Why is this product packaged together? Well, we don’t really know but the main reason you may want the Trench Coat is the unique styling and functionality of the rain suit. The ‘duster” style along with the chevron stripes on the sleeves gives it sort of a confederate look (IMHO). The mesh jacket or rain suit could be used separately (with other gear, for example). When used together, the two have a few features to make them compatible.

The outer trench coat is 100% waterproof and long enough to provide good coverage. There are straps built into the lining of the coat that you can affix around your legs to seal the bottom of the jacket while you’re riding, however we found that unless your legs are average to thin, the straps will be tight. They’re also designed to strap the coat to your bike when it’s not in use. There are several good-sized pockets to stow your stuff, both on the outside and inside of the coat. The pockets on the outside close with zippers and storm flaps that secure with Velcro. Lots of reflective trim make sure you’re visible at night or in inclement weather. Inside is a mesh jacket with CE armor in the shoulders and elbows and a dual density foam spine pad. For warmth there is an insulated fleece vest. Be prepared for whatever comes your way.
