FirstGear Winter Dakota Gloves

These gloves are consistent with the major brands we carry, so hopefully you’ve had some experience with buying gloves and can choose based upon the fit of a previous pair. If you have no previous experience with glove sizing, go here for help.

The Winter Dakota glove is a comfortable full leather glove that would work well for colder weather touring or commuting. These gloves are waterproof and insulated with Thinsulate insulation. But Thinsulate is… er, thin so they are not overly bulky and should provide a fairly good feel for the controls. The Hipora membrane should keep the water out, but still allow hand moisture to escape (if you frequently ride in wet weather, I’d suggest a textile style though because repeated soakings will damage leather). The gauntlet is long and has a zippered gusset so it can be easily pulled over the sleeves of your jacket to help block out the elements. The high quality leather should provide some good abrasion protection in the event of a crash. There is a faceshield wiper blade on the left index finger for use in rainy weather.
