The waist sizes on these pants are accurate as stated. And below you’ll find the inseam measurements. With a tapered ankle like this, you’d be OK if your normal jean inseam is 1 or 2 inches longer than the size we state (since the pants only are supposed to go to the top of the foot).

The FirstGear mesh pant was obsoleted recently in favor of FirstGear’s Mesh-Tex 2.0 pants (sold in the non-closeout section of our web store). We were able to buy our distributor’s remaining inventory in this product at a great price. Use the drop down menu above to view remaining inventory. Consider these pants to use along with a FirstGear mesh jacket style (or any brand mesh jacket for that matter). Here are my comments from the ‘06 season: These mesh pants are a great complement to any of the FirstGear hot weather jackets. They are styled much like other sport pants, but the majority of the pant is the same breathable mesh material used in the jackets. The pants are lined with a nylon mesh liner, which lets the air through but makes it where you can’t see through them. The pants have some small, built-in foam pieces on the hips (which you can see in the close-up pictures) and EVA foam pieces are included for the knees. These standard armor pieces are lightweight and flexible. To upgrade the crash protection, you can add optional Hiprotech armor in the hips and CE Core-Comp armor in the knees (see below to order). Choose the same size mesh pants you would for jeans or slacks. Inseam lengths are cut for the “average” height. Like other sport type pants, these are tapered at the ankle and close with a zipper. Ideally you’d tuck these in boots, but you could also wear them with shoes or over lacer type boots (or any boot that isn’t bulky at the shin).
