Our Two Cents
The Alpinestars SMX-2 Air Carbon Gloves for 2011 updates a style that has been a “best seller” for Alpinestars for many years. I tried on the gloves for our photo shoot and found them to be light weight and comfortable. They would definitely be a good choice for hot weather riding. The carbon fiber knuckle guard has a sharp look and feels like it would be great protection in case of a fall. The construction of the palm offers two materials… leather and Clarino (which is a man-made suede material). There is double material in high impact areas. Overall, a very nice design for a light summer glove with some sharp styling. Take the “View Larger Images” link above to see some good closeups of the gloves (and my forearms!)—Paul

Great gloves! Used to have the old Alpinestars SMX gloves until they wore out, so I decided to order these. And let me tell you that they are just as great as the old ones, and then some! (Read more...)
