REV'IT! Airwave 2 Jacket For Women (Sold Out)

We used a size 42 on our Fit Check Mannequin Shirley who is a standard size Large, Dress size 12. The jacket measured out correctly at 38” max chest. The actual measured waist of the jacket is considerably larger than REVIT’s standard size chart would indicate. For example on the size 42 we used for the photo shoot on Shirley, I measure the max waist at about 36”. A style like this is easily adjusted through the waist with the side buckles. Shirley has a waist of about 32” and it looks just fine on her. Max waist sizes are about 2” less than the max chest listed for each size rather than the much smaller size listed in the chart. .

The Airwave 2 jacket by REVIT will be just the thing to wear when the temps really riser this summer. Simple styling and design and quality construction would be the quick summary view I’d give for this new summer mesh jacket from REVIT. This is the second version of the Airwave we’ve had from REVIT and functionally the two versions are very similar but the styling has changed a lot. The overall look is still “signature” REVIT but just a bit different.

This jacket comes with Knox brand CE armor in the shoulders and elbows and the jacket comes with a pocket for the addition of a CE level 2 back protector (see size recommendations below). The jacket shell is mostly mesh but there are solid textile overlays over the shoulders and elbows, down each side of the torso and across the kidney belt area too.

You can pair this jacket with the matching Airwave 2 pants to make an outfit (see link below) and the two connect with the short rear zipper on both the jacket and pant. If you want to use the jacket with other pants, there is a snap-close loop in the back you can attach around your belt. This helps hold the tail of the jacket down at high speed and also helps prevent the jacket from rising above the pant waist if you fall.

So the value proposition here is the quality and styling. If you like the best tailored look and nice looking materials, you’ll like this jacket and think it worth the money. REVIT products are a notch above others in terms of price but the quality and looks are there. :: 02-11-19
