REV'IT! Traffic H2O Jacket
The Traffic H2O softshell hooded jacket is geared toward the younger urban commuter. Its short length, minimalist design, and vibrant inner lining colors allow individuals to express their style while remaining protected on their scooter or motorcycle. Waterproofing comes via the hydratex|Z-liner construction while a fixed thermal liner keeps riders warm. SEESMART CE-level 1 body armor can be found at the shoulders and elbows, and it’s possible to upgrade the safety component with the available CE-level 2 SEESOFT or SEESOFT Air back protector insert.

Sizing Information
We tried a size Medium and an XL on our Fit Check mannequins Huey and Dewey. Those are sizes they usually wear in an “American” cut jacket. This jacket from REV’IT! fit well. I also verified some chest and belly measurements and found those to also be in line with what you’d normally find in American men’s clothing. So, we recommend you buy the size you normally wear in US men’s clothing.
You can also choose a size based upon your chest and belly measurements. We’ve put together the chart below so you can choose a size that is big enough for both your chest and belly. Our size estimates differ from REVIT’s published size chart for this jacket, so for clarification, the chart includes both sets of chest size estimates. We recommend you use our estimates.
This particular style doesn’t taper a whole lot from chest to waist… only about 2”, so most people won’t have to worry about whether the belly area will work for them, but for those who do have an ample belly, we list the max size for each alpha size so you can make sure the size you choose will work. This jacket has very effective size adjusters for the mid-torso area, so even if your waist/belly is much smaller than these max figures, you’ll be able to get a good fit.

Our Two Cents
The REV’IT! Traffic H2O jacket is a new waterproof jacket designed with the urban commuter in mind.
The Traffic H2O comes with Seesmart CE level 1 armor in the shoulders and elbows and is prepared for a CE level 2 back protector if you choose to upgrade (see options below). The main zipper of the jacket has an outer and inner zipper that are offset to keep rain water from coming straight through the front.
At the back of the interior of the jacket, near the waist, there is a small “hidden pocket” that houses the garment tag and care instructions. This pocket is just about the perfect size for a license or credit card on sizes XL+ but it is too small on Large and smaller. I’m not sure if that was REV’IT’s intent with the pocket, and since it doesn’t seal I’d definitely beware before storing anything there, but if you are headed to a sketchy area and want to hide something where no one will look it gives you a good option.
There are two hand warmer style pockets on the front that are outlined in reflective material and use waterproof zippers. There is also one Napoleon style pocket on the interior of the jacket. There is additional reflective on the rear of the biceps and the REV’IT! logo on the left sleeve so you get some visibility. The hood is generously sized and uses two drawcords for adjustment. These drawcords can be pulled to tighten, but you must press the release button on them to loosen the hood. The waist of the jacket has two loops that allow you to secure the jacket to a belt. This will hold the tail down at speed and also keep it from riding up if you happen to slide on your backside.
The cuffs of this jacket offer some adjustability in the form of hook and loop strap closures. At the waist, there are two drawcords, one on each side, that allow you to snug the jacket down tight if desired.
This Traffic H2O jacket is a quality waterproof jacket with a built in hood. This jacket will work for most riders in cool to cold temperatures in wet or dry conditions. If it dips too low on the temperature scale you can always layer on under the jacket. At launch, there are 3 colorways, Black with a Bright Red interior, Navy Blue with Fluorescent Yellow interior, and Dark Green with Black interior. The bright interiors on the Black and Navy Blue really pop in person and give this jacket some personality. :: Mike, 01/04/2022
