These gloves are consistent with the major American based brands we carry such as FirstGear, Tour Master, etc, so hopefully you’ve had some experience with buying gloves and can choose based upon the fit of a previous pair. If you have no previous experience with glove sizing, go here for help.
Just as an FYI, you may have previous experience with European designed brands such as Alpinestars and REV’IT! which run about one half size smaller, size-for-size, than the American brands. It is not a universally true fact, but generally holds for most styles. So if a particular size in either of those brands is roomy on you, then you may be able to go down one full size in this style.
Our Two Cents
- INCREDIBLY EASY TO GET ON AND OFF
- STREET-WORTHY PROTECTIVE TECHNOLOGY
- STAY WARM AND DRY IN MOST WEATHER CONDITIONS
New for 2018 is the Klim Vanguard GTX short glove. With this glove, you get a genuine GoreTex liner in a short style that is light and comfortable.
The shell of this glove is a mix of materials. The palm side is all leather and feels really nice. The inside liner is a comfy fleecy material that feels good on your hands. To make the glove lighter and more packable, the back side of the hand is a combination of leather and textile materials.
I like the knuckle armor and the padding in the heel of the hand. The knuckle piece is formed to fit you the shape of your knuckles like a lot of other gloves, but this material is completely flexible. And it is the type of material that instantly becomes hard upon impact so it makes an ideal material for gloves.
One thing I like really like about this style is the cuff closure setup. There is a short zipper in back so you can open up the wrist area enough to get them on or off quickly and to make things even easier, there is a sturdy loop at the end on the palm side you can use to pull them on. Also, there is an adjustable strap to help you get just the right amount of tightness at the wrist. With the zipper setup, the Velcro thing becomes and one-time set-it-and-forget-it situation.
These gloves have dedicated little pads of conductive materials on the index finger and thumb tip so you can control your devices conveniently. Overall, and very nice every-day style glove which give high tech waterproofing performance. I like them! :: Paul, 01-31-18
