Sizing Information

We find REVIT gloves run a bit on the snug side as compared to most US based brands. The fit is very similar to Alpinestars which also fit more snugly than other brands of gloves. The tendency to run small is not so noticeable that we’d advise you to buy one size larger, but if you are sometimes in between sizes, your best shot would be to choose larger. Hopefully you’ve had some experience with buying gloves and can choose based upon the fit of a previous pair. If you have no previous experience with glove sizing, go here for help.

Our Two Cents

These new Summit 3 H2O gloves are an update to the version 2 glove of the same name from two seasons ago. These gloves are waterproof, but without insulation layer, so these will be good for spring and fall for sure and in summer if the weather is wet. Being waterproof, they won’t flow air through, so they’ll probably be a bit toasty if you wear them in dry summer weather. If you need something for cold weather use, then look for something with insulation.

The main change to the glove from version 2 to this new version three is with the cuff design. The cuff in version 2 was rather slim looking… almost like a knitted cuff and version 3 has a more traditional cuff with a wide Velcro adjuster which I think is an improvement. This cuff style allows you to adjust the glove for a wide range of jacket sleeve styles and also whether you want to wear the glove cuff over or under the jacket sleeve.

The overall fit of the gloves feels more like a sport/race glove than a waterproof glove. Its cut trim with a fits closely all over and the armor over the knuckle and the hard slider in the palm add to the secure feeling. Like the version 2 Summit, these gloves also have a tricky little strap/buckle arrangement at the wrist to keep the gloves firmly on your hand in case of impact. You’ll have to try this out to get the hang of it, but it’s made so that you can shove your hand in and quickly tighten the strap with the large Velcro close tab, then after you snug the small strap you close the gauntlet with the large strap. Its made to help you get the gloves on and secured with your other glove on since you only have to grasp the big flap to both tighten and secure the glove. After you get the hang of it, you’ll like it, but at first, fit feels a little “too” tricky.

The gloves have substantial armor over the knuckles which is more pliable than most. It feels like the energy absorbing foam material. The flexible material is ideal for a street touring style like this. And the palm is fitted with a hard plastic slider designed to slide on the pavement rather than grabbing and causing a twisting motion. Also, there are foam pads over the thumb knuckle and on the backs of the fingers. All this adds up to a significant protection package for a waterproof style glove.

I think the price of the Summit 3 is very reasonable and is actually down $20 MSRP from the previous version. I thought version 2 looked like a good value proposition, so this new version 3 is even better. :: Paul, 02-04-19

REVIT says: The Summit 3 H2O gloves will be your ideal companion during all the plans you’ve made for the summer. They’re fully waterproof thanks to hydratex®|Z-liner membrane so they will keep your hands dry when it starts to rain. Enjoy the ride knowing water will stay out of your gloves and that your hands are well protected.
