Sizing Information

The only size available in this product is men’s XS. Very few men will be in this size range, but consider these jackets for youth or ladies (although the overall cut is best for men…wide shoulders and slim waist). Here are the measurements:

Max chest: 38”

Max Waist: 32” (will adjust down considerably)

Front, from base of collar to bottom: 18”

Back, from base of collar to bottom: 25”

Sleeve from shoulder seam to end of cuff: 23.5”

Our Two Cents

Our distributor offered us this group of men’s XS jackets at an incredibly cheap price. I bought them because I’m all the time getting requests for youth riding gear. Of course we only have one size available and it won’t cover all youth sizes, but anything should help. My comments from the ‘05 season: The Phoenix 3.0 has improved styling and more features. This year, the Phoenix comes with the Dry Tech liner (still sold as an accessory for other styles). The liner can be used with the Phoenix to increase the usable temperature range. Nobody likes to pack more than one jacket for a day trip, and early morning riding (or mountain riding) can be too cool for a standard mesh jacket, but the Dry Tech liner will provide a layer of warmth by virtue of its wind stop characteristics. The inner liner also serves as a waterproof layer in case of a downpour. This jacket includes removable, perforated dual density armor pieces in the shoulders, elbows and back. In addition, there are padded panels integrated into the shell of the jacket (those visible in the pictures down the back, on the shoulders and on the elbows; take the “View Larger Pictures” link above for a closer view). The jacket has a connection zipper for attachment to Joe Rocket Phoenix or Ballistic pants to make a riding suit.
