Sizing Information

We find that TCX boots are generally an easy fit and they are consistent from one model to the next. And we have very good luck using their size chart to convert from US sizes to their Euro size. Go here to view the TCX Sizing Conversion Chart page for help in choosing a size.

We estimate the width to be about “D” or medium. These are slightly wider than Sidi boots and fit much like Alpinestars.

Our Two Cents

The TCX Comp EVO 2 Michelin Boots are an exquisite example of a top level no nonsense MX boot.

You can read all about the flex features and protection on this boot in the write up provided by TCX below, but if you want it all boiled down to a few words: Beefy Overkill. And that isn’t a bad thing, these boots are something serious. The ankle protection is solid and the boots look like they can stand up to some serious abuse.

We put one boot on the scale and it weighs in at just shy of 5lbs dry, so when you have 2 on with a collection of mud you’re almost in the situation of a mob informer if you catch my drift. But these boots aren’t made for walking around or swimming with the fishes so I wouldn’t worry too much about all that.

Serious protection and performance from one of the best names in the motorcycle boot industry teamed up with one of the best names in the tire industry for ultimate wear resistance. :: Mike, 05/16/2022

TCX says The new Double Flex Control System features a PU joint in the ankle area studied to improve the front and rear flexibility of the leg. The system is attached to the boot with two lateral hidden screws at the malleolus level. This special construction allows a front flexibility of up to 18 degrees and, thanks to two lugs that slide inside dedicated pockets, it allows a rear flexibility of up to 15 degrees, thus avoiding back overextension of the ankle joint and protecting the rider’s foot from injuries.

The Double Flex Control structure integrates a fastening band that works in synergy with the system, following the mechanical flex of the ankle joint and allowing a precise ankle hold with consequent increase in riding performance levels.

The bootleg features an external polyurethane exterior and a soft internal upper designed to envelop the leg completely and offer excellent comfort levels. Internal upper construction: 1 Soft micro fibre upper allows enhanced calf envelopment; 2 Double Velcro® fastening; 3 Elastic upper collar to avoid gravel, dust and mud entry;

The PU boot leg is equipped with a glued rubber heat – guard that offer a superior grip on the bike frame.

The shin plate is made of polyurethane and presents an adjustable system to fit different calf dimensions perfectly and to accommodate knee guards/braces. The shin plate adjustment is based on screws that shift inside hidden holes, each offering two different positions to choose from according to the range of movement you wish to achieve.

Buckles featuring an ergonomic design for easier opening, even with gloves on; special structure that allows micro adjustment and optimum aligning of each individual buckle, totally interchangeable. Fastening buckle composition: 1 Toothed micro-adjustable band equipped with aluminium puller; 2 Buckle receiver made of aluminium and Nylon 66 to facilitate the puller sliding and offer easier buckle fastening even with dust and mud.
