Sizing Information
Most REV’IT! gloves feel a bit snug as compared to other American brands we carry and these are no exception. I’d say this one runs only slightly small, so I’d advise you to choose the size you normally wear in gloves. If you are between sizes, then choose larger. Hopefully you’ve had some experience with buying gloves and can choose based upon the fit of a previous pair. If you have no previous experience with glove sizing, go here for help.
Our Two Cents
The Jerez 3 glove is REVIT’s most armored sport/race glove. These gloves offer complete coverage included hard armor in key positions.
REVIT makes really high quality gloves for all types of riding, but for racing, the Jerez 3 is currently their top of the line offering. There are a lot of premium materials used here. The palm material is Kangaroo which is widely accepted as being the best leather for race glove palms because the leather is thin and gives great control feel, but it is long wearing and resistant to breaking down from sweat. The parts of the palm that contact the grips are reinforced with Pittards® Digital™ grip patches which give greater grip than the bare Kangaroo leather would, and it also will prolong the wear life.
Other leather parts are cowhide, and the backside of the hand is reinforced with a layer of Kevlar material. Of course, the glove has a full array of hard armor pieces. The palm area gets two prominent sliders so if you go down and put out your hands, those sliders will promote a sliding motion rather than twisting which would be more likely if you didn’t have the hard slick surfaces there to make contact with the road surface. As you would expect, the gloves come with a fully adjustable gauntlet designed to fit over your sport jacket or race suit sleeve. The gauntlet is heavily armored too with a large plastic armor piece that covers the side and top of the wrist.
As compared to other well-known brands such as Alpinestars, I find these gloves to remarkably soft and flexible right out of the packaging so I wouldn’t expect to do a lot of break-in for them to be comfortable. :: Paul, 06-25-20
REVIT says: Rev’It! gave the Jerez 3 Gloves a design update while retaining its core safety and ergonomic features. They have added a double TPU hard-shell palm slider to these MotoGP derived gloves.
