These pants offer a lot of bang for the buck, and surprised me with how well made they are for the price. The thermal liner is very warm, though it's a bit bulky and does impede freedom of movement somewhat. The fit is slim in the hips and thighs (which I like), but you may need to go up a size if your quads are pumped up. I wear 36 x 32 jeans, and the XL Short Tellurides fit well, though in retrospect I probably could have gone with the regular length size instead. Speaking of which, getting the length right is key to having the knee protection hit you in the right spot; the knee armor offers two positions via hook & loop tabs that let you move the armor in its mesh pocket. Note: the back of the h&l tabs presses against your skin and can feel abrasive, the fix is to glue a small piece of microfiber cloth on the back of the h&l tabs to cushion this area. I normally wear the pants without the liner, and they are comfortable even on very hot summer days; the leg vents help some, though the air flow through them isn't dramatic. I've found motorcycle pants are the toughest piece of gear to buy in terms of comfort and fit. These pants are such a good deal that I suggest giving them a try; if they're not right for you, MotorcycleGear makes it easy to return them and try something else. Recommended!
