I finally feel that I qualify to write a review. These Alpinestars Web Gore-Tex Boots have been great over the last 3 year and ~40k miles. On 8/5 of this year I put them to test when I laid my bike over sliding across a couple lanes of concrete. The Alpinestars Web Gore-Tex Boots are a little scratch up on the right side but are still in good enough condition to see another 3 years of use. The Joe Rocket Alter Ego 2.0 Jacket with the panels removed is showing some wear on the mesh sleeve and the shoulder vent is damage beyond repair, however the zipper did not pull open, and all of the seems are still intact. I have been wearing this Jacket for over 4 years and it was my only jacket until I order it's replacement. I can't say much about the HJC AC-12 Yikes III Helmet because I tucked my head as I went down and landed on my arm with only open visor making contact with the pavement. Reviewing the Alpinestars SMX-2 Air Carbon Gloves is hard for me because the fingers are fraying and the palm of the glove is deffinately sub-par; this was before they ever hit the ground. However, they did thier job and reminded me why I aways buy gloves with hard knuckle guards. The quality did not match my expectation and the palm with have been wore out within a year of use. I will continue to buy Alpinestars gloves but only because of how great my AFKs were and how great my SP-2 continue to be.
