I definitely recommend the Alpinsestar Reflex Knee Guards. They have already saved my knees in 2 separate accidents. Knees tend to take a large brunt of the abuse in certain accidents and it's well worth the expense of buying them for even just occasional use, or to lend out. They're also barely noticeable under most pairs of jeans.
