I was looking for overpants that were waterproof without needing a liner to go over my work clothes which are usually khaki Docker style pants. I tried the Joe Rocket Alter Ego pants first and did not care for the fit and the waterproof liner was more bulky than I wanted. With NewEnough's easy return policy I put the Alter Ego's right back in the box after getting them and ordered up the Firstgear TPG Escape Pants which are a much better pant for me. They fit easily over my pants and belt, have great armor in hips and knees, even if the knee pads are a bit low for me. I love not needing a liner to make the waterproof because a liner makes my commute really hot when I have both my work pants on and riding pants. I am about 5'-11 and mid 180's and usually wear a 33 or 34" pant with a 31" or 32" inseam. The size 34 TPG pants are probably a bit on the large size for me even over my work pants, but I did not feel like paying for return shipping again and since they were overpants only, not my primary touring pants I can live with them being a bit on the big size in both waist and length. Good pants and I'm happy to own them.
