Below is sizing information as supplied by Joe Rocket. We feel the chart accurately reflects the suit’s fit. Sizing on these suits is roomy as compared to most other styles. Our experience has been that most suits will fit more snugly than a corresponding size jacket and many people would have to go up in size, but these suits are fitting pretty true to the stated chest size. Pick a suit size based upon your chest measurement or your coat size if you know it. And check to make sure that your belly size is not too large for the suit—otherwise you’ll have to go with a larger suit to accommodate the belly. Max belly for each size suit is approximately 5” less than the suit size (example: a 48 suit will handle up to a 43” belly).

The Speedmaster 5.0 two piece suit is probably one of the best “bang for the buck” race suits we sell. Joe Rocket uses a quality, race weight cowhide leather in the construction of this suit. This suit should stand up to years of use and offers excellent protection for the aggressive street rider or track day addict. The protection certainly does not stop at the leather. CE approved armor is found in the knees, elbows, and shoulders, and they’ve included a dense spine pad. Externally, there are knee sliders included as well as titanium shoulder caps for some additional protection. There is also an aerodynamic speed hump. The speed hump not only helps with aerodynamics at higher speeds, but also forms a bridge between your back and the back of your helmet. This prevents the head from being wrenched forward by the helmet if you land on your back. For comfort, the entire inside of the suit is lined with a nylon mesh material (it’s not removable for washing, however). Accordion style stretch panels are found behind the shoulders, elbows, and lower back, as well as above the knees. A stretch material is also used at the inner arms, thighs, and behind the knees and calves. While none of the suit is perforated, there are zippered vents at the biceps as well as exhaust vents on the back of the torso. Molded intake vents are found on each shoulder as well. A two piece suit is a great option if you plan on using the jacket separately, or if you aren’t an “average” height and weight.
