Sizing Information
These boots are sold in U.S. men’s sizes. We’ve tried on a selection of sizes and think this boot runs true to a US shoe size. The width is generous, we think D or E. These boots have a pronounced arch support which I really like and find to be very comfortable, but if you can’t tolerate a significantly contoured insole, then you might not get along with this one too well.
Our Two Cents
Wow, I like these new Klim boots as a casual shoe. The soles are super sturdy and have a super grippy tread design, but they are so light, I could hardly believe it.
Overall, the boot feels sturdy, but it isn’t build with any specific motorcycle protection features (such as side ankle protection, reinforced toe box, etc). These are certainly as good as the MANY riding shoes we have that are pretty light duty (and we call that out when we see it), but if you are specifically interested in protective features, then there are other boots to look at. One really neat feature of this boot is the closure/lacing system called a BOA system. It is a cable and ratchet setup that is super easy to use and effective, and all without loose laces to tangle you up. And it is really easy to use and fast-on/fast-off. We have one other boot with this system (REVIT Pioneer Outdry Boots) and the system works great on it too.
The foot area of this boot is lined with genuine Gore-Tex so they will be waterproof but very breathable… especially so since the upper has panels of breathable mesh material (the grey areas in the photos). And did I mention they are light? Yes they are!
Overall, I really like these boots. I bet they’ll be my favorite this winter. :: Paul, 10-13-17
