REV'IT! Cayman Shoes

We are raising the footwear bar with the Cayman motorcycle shoes. We looked to street style fashion when we were creating these motorcycle-ready high-tops. They have a clean and minimalist execution that is meant to echo their technical features. You’ll notice they’re devoid of shoelace holes, that’s because we’ve used a quick lace closure system here; similar to what you’ll find on trail running footwear. And to make sure the technical design remains unadulterated when you’re laced up, there’s an elastic pocked on the top of the tongue to tuck the excess lace away.

This greatly increases the fabric’s resistance to tearing and ripping, making ribstop nylon extremely durable.

Sizing Information

Beginning with some new boots models in the 2018 lineup, REV’IT! began using a new size conversion chart. The chart is listed below. Generally speaking, the boots run smaller than in past seasons for a given size. Their new chart reflects the smaller sizing. Using the new chart, you’ll be buying a boot that is 1/2 to one size bigger than you might have chosen by using the conversion in past years. We tried on this model and confirmed the smaller fit.

Our fit advice is to use the chart below to choose an EU size based upon your US street shoe size, while keeping in mind you may be choosing one size larger than you may have bought from REVIT in past seasons. If you are between sizes in the chart, choose the larger.

Our Two Cents

The REV’IT! Cayman shoes are a stylish high-top style option for urban/commuter riders.

The classic casual high-top styling is even evident in the sole, which is made from recycled rubber and shows random flecks of white mixed in the main black form. This recycled rubber look has become pretty common in the sneaker world over the last few years. REV’IT! has also adopted a quick lace system as you would normally find on trail running shoes. This system works by simply pulling the cord and cinching down the pinch fastener. When you have them on there is even a pouch to store the extra cord in so it doesn’t find itself wrapped around part of the bike. When you’re ready to take them off just pinch the fastener and pull it up the cord to release the instep.

The Cayman shoes have all the protection you would expect to find in a motorcycle shoe: injected ankle cups with reinforcement, and a reinforced heel and toe box. The toe box also has a gear shift pad built in. A strip down the tongue and the entire lower portion of the heel are reflective for some pretty substantial nighttime visibility.

The REV’IT! Cayman shoes are ideal for the urban/commuter rider that is looking for performance on the bike and all day comfort and style once you get to the destination. These boots also have some perforations so they should perform well up to some pretty hot temps. :: Mike, 07/29/2022
