Sizing Information

Use the drop down menu above to see the available size range. Choose the size you normally wear in a street shoe. The width of these boots is “medium” or “D” width. The sizing seems accurate. I’d say the overall width and fit through the foot is generous… more like the fit of an Alpinestar boot which is a bit wider than most (Sidi boots are a bit more narrow than most).

Our Two Cents

The new Joe Rocket Sonic X boots are a full height street/sport style. They have the normal side entry and made to be “water resistant”.

Joe Rocket boots are priced very inexpensively, and in some respects, they do compare to other brands of boots. There are some basic features that are here such as stiffened heel and toe areas and an integral shin armor piece. There are night time reflectives too. The boots are said to be “water resistant”. I’m not sure what that means, but I wouldn’t expect much. The sole on this boot is kind of flimsy as compared to what we like to see. There doesn’t seem to be any integral sole stiffening so the boots more or less fold up like a sneaker if you put a little pressure on them.

So in summary, I’d say “you get what you pay for” with this boot. It doesn’t cost much, but it is not a quality product like the MANY other brands and styles we sell. If you need something that is very low cost and if you don’t expect a great deal of comfort or longevity, then these will be fine, but otherwise, look elsewhere and spend some more. :: Paul, 10-04-19
