Sizing Information

I tried on a size 11 in this boot which is what I usually wear and thought I might try on one size bigger since they might be just a tad short. I don’t think I’d say they run a full size small, but maybe a half size small. My overall recommendation would be to buy the size you normally wear, but if you are EVER between sizes, then choose larger

Our Two Cents

I’ll give these new Atomic boots an “A” for styling. I really like the new colors (yay, something besides black on black with black trim). For the photos, we are using the Black/Orange which is my personal favorite. A high top shoe/hiker design like this is very popular these days. The shorter design makes them more comfortable and cooler to wear. I like the buckle/Velcro-close strap system these boots use. It is relatively quick and looks sharp, and of course gives you a chance to adjust the fit. The shoe is made comfortable with lots of thick padding, especially from the ankle up which is good in a style like this. The boot is a little light on protection because I can’t feel any special protection in the boot around the ankles other than the thicker comfort foam and the heel area is no more reinforced than any street shoe. The toe area is stiffened with an internal piece and also a molded rubber piece where your shifter will land. The sole has a stiffener or shank so there is decent support in the arch where you will be bearing weight on the pegs. Oh, and on the heel of the shoe is a very nice reflective. We took a night shot of this and it lights up very well indeed. The shoes have toe sliders, but um, please don’t mistake this for a race boot because it’s not… just consider those for show really. Overall, a sharp boot that is comfortable and is offered at a very decent price. And I like the colors too! :: Paul, 10-11-13
