Sizing Information

We tried a selection of these boots in our showroom and found the size chart conversion to be accurate for length. The width of the boots is “medium” or C/D width. We suggest using the size chart to choose a size based upon your US shoe size, or of course, choose the European size you wear if you know it.

I like the three buckle closure arrangement. It allows a good fit over the instep and through the calf regardless of whether you have a high or low instep and/or small or large calves. Click the image below to make it bigger:

Our Two Cents

The Dainese Tamba boots are a “retro” design leather motorcycle boot for the street. The leather used is fantastic for good looks and comfort.

Does anybody remember the Sidi On Road boot? It was a very similar design to this throwback Dainese Tamba boot. I was a taller boot with four buckles (this one has three), but it was the very same look. I LOVED the old On Road boot and we sold thousands. It came in several variants over the years but morphed into Sidi’s All Road boot which is a combination of microfiber the textile material with a Gore-Tex liner. I guarantee you there are some links between the On Road and this Dainese Tamba. I pulled the current On Road and the sole molding is EXACTLY the same thing right down to the molded size mark on the sole.

I’ve decided I like this Tamba boot even better than the current or older Sidi boot. Why? Well, mostly because it is genuine leather and suede. To put them on and walk around the showroom is a delight. The leather is supple and forms quickly to the ankle and leg. I tried a size 45 and they fit me just perfect (size 11.5 US). The outside location of the Velcro straps is a bit awkward at first, but it’s fine and they really work to make the boot adjustable to all parts of the foot.

The basics of foot protection are here: reinforced toe and heel area, armor over the ankle and shin, and sturdy sole with internal reinforcement in the shank area. There is suede over the toe area to protect the boot from the shifter, but it will pain me to mess up that beautiful suede! Oh well, I guess I get some patina, right?

I give this new style my full endorsement! :: Paul, 07-30-19

Dainese says: The Dainese Tamba Boots use cowhide leather for a protective durable boot. Its 3 strap closure design nods to off-road style of the past. Suede reinforcement at the toe area helps defend against wear and tear from your shifter.
