Cortech The Executive Riding Boots

We found this shoe to be sized correctly for length, so choose the size you normally wear in a men’s shoe. The width is considered “D” or “normal”. If you are between sizes, I’d recommend choosing the smaller as we found the overall fit to be slightly generous.

The Executive Riding Boots are a taller lace-up boot with motorcycle specific armor in the ankle area, toe box, and heel cup. These boots could work for any type street rider.

This new Executive boot is part of a new group of boots by Cortech. I’ve looked over the new shoes… the Freshman and Slayer and I really like them for their robust armor setup. This boot also has a nice armor package which includes ankle armor inserts on either side of the ankle bones, a firm toe box and also a firm heel cup. The part about this boot that doesn’t appeal is the sole setup. It’s a lug sole, but the base of the sole is kinda thin, and the boots are made with a curious upward curve to the toe (the boots don’t lay flat on the floor). I’m also not in love with the quality of the leather. Frankly, it looks kinda cheap to me. Now granted, this is a very inexpensive boot and I really wouldn’t expect anything “premium” looking, but their naming of the boot made me want to mention it. I really don’t think this boot lives up to the “Executive” name.

But aside from my complaints, this is quite a bit of boot for just $145, and the boots have a waterproof liner included too. I didn’t go back and do a survey, but I’d guess this boot would be among the least expensive of the taller waterproof models we sell. For the value proposition, I like them. :: Paul, 09-11-19
