Sizing Information

We found this shoe to be sized correctly for length, so choose the size you normally wear in a men’s shoe. The width is considered “D” or “normal”. If you are between sizes, I’d recommend choosing the larger.

Our Two Cents

The Flathead Boot is a good looking simple riding boot. The upper is leather and the boot has significant protections for protection while on a bike.

Of all the work boots I’ve ever owned, I prefer a style like this with a thicker flat sole. The white sole color is sharp and will look good with just about any type of clothing, on or off the bike IMHO. The lacing system is easy to use and a lace-up boot like this makes it easy to get a good fit (as compared to traditional zip-close boots).

The upper on this boot is leather, which looks good and feels sturdy. The toe box and heel surround are well reinforced and the sole is stiffened through the arch. On each side of the ankle, they’ve installed the usual discs to give some impact protection to the ankle bones. One nit to pick here… the round discs are shifted to the rear of the boot a bit, so they cover the ankle bones, but they are a bit off-center. But you still get coverage and they are comfortable, so no big deal.

I think this boot is a good value because it appears well made, it has a nice style, and it’s not a lot of money. :: Paul, 05-19-21
