Sizing Information

We find that TCX boots are generally an easy fit and they are consistent from one model to the next. And we have very good luck using their size chart to convert from US sizes to their Euro size. Go here to view the TCX Sizing Conversion Chart page for help in choosing a size.

We estimate the width to be about “D” or medium. These are slightly wider than Sidi boots and fit much like Alpinestars.

The shaft of this model boot is tall (see the attached pictures for exact height), so they’ll reach up to the largest part of your calf. They are adjustable with Velcro at the upper end and they will accommodate larger calves but not really big calves. For example I put on the size 45 and I have larger than average calves and could barely get a fit. My calves are 16” around at the highest point of the boot. If you are 16” or under the shaft size should be big enough.

Our Two Cents

The TCX Infinity Evo Gore-Tex boots are the top of the line adventure touring boots offered from TCX and new for the 2015 season. BTW, the word “evo” in the name differentiates these from the prior version of the same name.

The Infinity combines several elements from the best of their touring and off-road boots, resulting in a very tough boot. I find the overall construction to be VERY substantial. The leather is thick and the buckle system is strong. The buckles are a cam-lock type to secure these boots to your feet and provide a custom fit. And the sole is stiffer than you’ll find on ordinary street boots (but not quite as “board-like” as a traditional off-road boot).

Another feature that makes these boots a premium boot is the Gore-Tex liner for waterproofing. Gore-Tex is well regarded as some of the best waterproof material available, preventing any water from entering the boot, while still allowing your feet to breathe. This lining extends a good ways up the boot, all but the top 4 inches have this material (see our photo gallery for overall height and to see the inside gaiter). So you could stand in DEEP water and they would keep your feet dry. At the top of these boots is an elastic gaiter, which provides a good seal around the top of the boot to help prevent debris from entering if you are riding in off-road environments.

These boots have all the built in armor you’d expect to find. There are small armor pieces over the ankle bones to protect those areas against impact and there is a shin plate as well as reinforcement in the toe box and in the heel cup. A rubberized shift pad will keep that area from getting worn down, and it is textured for positive interaction with your bike’s shifter. Along the inner side of the boot is a suede leather heat shield, protecting you from hot exhaust and engine parts on those long rides. Also the suede is there to help you grip the motorcycle’s parts.

A couple new things for 2015 in this model is a formal CE certification (see the close-up photo for specifics), and the use of a branded Michelin sole.

These are a very rugged boot and are very high quality. If this is a style that would suit your type of riding, I would recommend them… a very premium product! :: Paul, 01-26-15
