Dainese Fulcrum GT Gore-Tex Closeout Boots

We tried a selection of these shoes in our showroom and found the size chart conversion to be accurate for length. The width of the boots is “medium” or C/D width. We suggest using the size chart to choose a size based upon your US shoe size, or of course choose the European size you wear if you know it.

One thing we noticed is the ankle area and the instep area of this boot is cut pretty trim. Those with a high instep or thick ankles probably won’t find a fit, but if you are average or slim through those areas, you’ll really like how this boot fits.

The Fulcrum GT Gore-Tex Boots are for the touring and street rider who wants something a little bit special in a waterproof street boot. Premium materials are the draw here.

I see VERY FEW street boots these days that are made from an actual cowhide, but here’s one that looks good. Microfiber materials is what I see in about 95% of boots like this. Personally, I like leather boots. One of my favorites was the Oxstar Matrix Gore-Tex boot that was sold several years ago. People loved those boots, and this one reminds me of that style. Just as an FYI, the Oxstar brand became TCX, and the present-day equivalent to the Matrix is now the X-Five.4 Gore-Tex which also is a leather boot. Anyway, this one feels very nice. Please note our sizing advice… the instep and ankle areas of this boot are trim cut, so those who have slimmer legs/feet will really like this one.

Speaking of quality materials, this boot uses Gore-Tex material to make it waterproof, which coupled with leather will make a very breathable waterproof boot. A couple of things that make this boot just a bit different: the height seems taller than most. I’d say by about 1”; the top of the shaft is trimmed out very nicely with a roll of leather; on the side opposite of the zipper is a small Velcro adjustment tab to help you get just the right fit around your calf/shin.

Of course, this boot has all the key features for motorcycle protection…. stiffeners in the toe and heel areas and a firm plastic armor piece over the shin. Ankle armor is fitted on both sides of the ankle and the sole has an internal stiffener.

I really like this boot and it feels great one. The price is reasonable too considering the leather construction and the Gore-Tex liner. :: Paul, 09-06-19
