REV'IT! Jackson 2 SK Jeans

We measured a sampling of these jeans of different waist sizes and lengths and find they are NOT vanity sized as you would expect from most other jeans you’d buy these days. They measure out to the stated size at the full stretch of the waist and pretty true in the length. And of course, these are denim and may shrink just a tad too. The jeans have pockets in the hips for the addition of the SeeSmart hip protectors (see link below). The hip armor is quite thin and flexible so I don’t think they’ll make a difference in the size choice of jeans if you choose to wear them. So my overall advice would be to go up one size from the waist size you normally wear in jeans; you’ll likely find a fit. If you aren’t sure whether your jeans are vanity sized like I’m describing, then either measure your waist where your normal jeans ride or measure your favorite pair of jeans to verify. Again, casual jeans and most riding jeans these days actually measure out about 2” above the stated size but this style does not! You’ll probably find that you measure out a bit bigger than your normal jeans stated size and also the waist of your favorite jeans measures out an inch or two bigger than their stated size. If so, you will be on track following my advice. Or to make it even simpler, just measure those other jeans and whatever they measure out to buy that size!

The inseam lengths measured out about right as compared to the stated size. You may want to choose a longer inseam than your ordinary jeans for a couple reasons. First, jeans ride up your legs when you sit on a motorcycle so to maintain a good length, you can choose one size longer. Another reason to buy longer with REVIT jeans is the reflective strip they put on the outside seam at the bottom of the legs. That reflective material will only show when the ends are rolled. So with those considerations in mind I’d recommend you buy one size longer than you normally wear. If between sizes, choose the longer.

The REV’IT! Jackson 2 SK jeans are a skinny fit riding jean that will pair well with just about any jacket for urban and commuter riders.

The Jackson 2 SK jeans are made from a 13 oz. Cordura® denim that offers quite a bit of 2-way (side to side) stretch. This is important because the jeans are SK = skinny fit and the taper through the legs means the stretch will likely have them fitting very snugly around the lower legs. Externally the jeans have the appearance of a typical designer jeans with two hand pockets and two hip pockets. One fashion jean bullet point we want to point out here, these jeans have a full button fly, so instead of one button and a zipper you get one main button and 3 smaller buttons through the fly. They’ll break in but out of the box, these are not the easiest things to fasten. There is nothing visual to give away the protection that lies beneath.

The protection in the jeans comes from that Cordura® denim with safety seams that provide good abrasion resistance for slides. The pants also use REV’IT!’s ultra thin and flexible SEESMART™ RV36-L1-A CE level 1 armor at the knee and they are prepared for the SEESMART™ RV33 CE-level 1 armor at the hip (see related products below). At the cuff, there is a reflective strip on the interior of each leg that is visible if you turn the cuff up and provides a bright reflection to other motorists. The jeans also have belt loops so you can easily integrate the REV’IT! Safeway belts (see related products below) for pairing with your favorite REV’IT! riding jacket. These jeans also have a mesh comfort liner through the rise for improved airflow between the body and jeans.
