Sizing Information

We measured and tried on a selection of these pants and developed the table below to help you choose a size that is right for you. The waist sizes in the chart are a bit smaller than what REV’IT! publishes in their literature and a bit smaller than other REVIT pants (just an FYI). And you may find you need a larger size than you wear in other men’s clothing.

If you need help measuring, take the link below. The pants have an adjustable strap arrangement at the waist to help you fine tune the fit. We are showing a two inch range which was about what the adjusters seemed to do.

These pants are available in regular, short and tall inseam sizes. But please be aware: these pants are cut short to make them work well being tucked into your off-road or ADV boots. We’ve listed “equivalent” inseams below to help you choose, but the actual inseam on these pants is about 4” shorter than what the chart indicates. We advise you to choose a size from the chart below that is equivalent to the inseam you buy in regular pants and jeans (knowing the pants are shorter to tuck into boots). You might ask… why make them in different inseams when they are short anyway? The answer is, offering different inseams gets you a pant where the knee armor and the part you fit in your boot is in the right position on your leg.

Our Two Cents

REVIT’s new Continent pant and Peninsula pant are both new for 2021. These two pants are almost identical except for leg-end design, so I’ll tell you about both. These are rugged, heavy duty pants made of a tough rip-stop material. They have a definite off-road design/adventure, but could work for any style riding. Armor is included for the knees and hips in both pants.

OK, what’s the difference? The Continent pant has a more traditional leg design to go fully over taller boots such as off-road or Adventure styles. The leg end is adjustable and has an inside gaiter to keep out dust and dirt from going up your pant leg. The inside of the leg is covered in heavy leather to help you grip the bike and deal with hot engine parts. The Continent pant reminds me of many Klim pants. The Peninsula pant is almost identical to the Continent from the knee up, but the Peninsula is made short to facilitate you tucking them inside your tall boot. They also have a leather strip lining the inside of the leg for the same reasons. They don’t have the gaiter I mentioned because they are tucked inside your boot and therefore dirt and dust won’t be able to go up your leg.

Both styles come with a full set of hip/knee armor. It is the SeeSmart CE level 1 type. This armor is very flexible and essentially a flat sheet rather than a molded cup shape. As REVIT points out, this type of armor will work well with knee braces and/or armor units you may be in the habit of using on your adventure/off-road trips. The waist has a sliding buckle at the waist that will give you about 2” of adjustability for a good fit. The inside of the waistband has that “grippy” silicone coating to grip your jersey or shirt to keep it tucked in. Both styles include a couple zippered pockets on the side of the leg and also a couple zip vents to allow some airflow. Although it is hard to see, there are some holes in the material in front just under the waist and above the knees to allow some airflow. Cooler to warm weather will be the sweet spot for this design.

REVIT says: The Peninsula Pants from REV’IT! are a dirt-focused adventure pant that leans heavily toward the full off-road side of the spectrum. The in-the-boot design and reduced weight makes them wear like your typical dirt pant, but tougher materials hold up to season after season of rough-and-tumble abuse. Ripstop 750D Cordura forms the entire chassis. Inserts of PWR|Shell ripstop stretch mesh are added at the thigh, above the knees and across the seat for comfort and mobility. Along the entire inner leg are panels of Monaco performance cowhide to cope with abrasion and hot engine parts. Seesmart CE Level 1 impact armor is included at the knees and hips, and the Peninsulas are tailored to fit comfortably over knee braces or stand-alone body armor. Zippered vents, tacky Suregrip seat pads and cargo pockets at the hips add utility. The tapered leg design fits cleanly into full height dirt boots.
