REV'IT! Spark Air Pants

We measured and tried on a selection of these pants and developed the table below to help you choose a size that is right for you. If you need help measuring, take the link below. Most shoppers will choose the size they normally wear in men’s clothing.

We suggest taking a pair of your favorite jeans and laying them on a flat surface with the waist buttoned. Take a measuring tape or string and start at the left side with 0 or the end of the string and pull it tight across the front of the pants where a belt would run with your hands at either side pulling the material tight with the tape or string lined up with the edges. Then either read the tape measure or hold the string next to a yardstick or tape measure to find the length, double that number and you have a comfortable waist measurement for your favorite jeans. Apply that measurement to the size chart below.

We have a 2-inch range in the waist and the inseam on these pants. The pants are made from a full stretch material that is very forgiving. The waist has a drawstring adjustment cord so you can draw it down for a snug fit, and the legs have under foot/boot straps so you can hold them down.

The Spark Air Pants from REV’IT! are all about staying cool and being comfortable while still being protected. These are what I would consider a sweat pant or a jogger style pant as they look completely casual on and off the bike. And the only thing that matches their level of comfort is their airflow, these pants flow a ton of air allowing them to really live up to their name. This massive airflow is provided by a fully ventilated mesh design that features both Polyester mesh as well as 3D air mesh, a knitted fabric that has an open 3-dimensional structure that ensures good ventilation.

Comfort on the Spark Air pants doesn’t only come from airflow, the fit and design aid to it as well, the pants fit again, like a pair of joggers and feature stretch at the waist, knees, inside of the knees, inside of the leg, the ankles and at the crotch. Additionally you do get under boot straps, a short connection zipper, a grip panel at the seat as well as slit pockets on the hip. These pants really are all about comfort and airflow. You can also tailor the fit at the waist as they do feature a drawcord, but one thing to be aware of is that the cuffs at the ankles are not adjustable and some riders will struggle to get their feet through the narrow holes. We did not make note of this in our size guide as the overall size of the pants is spot on, but for some the leg opening might be an issue.

From a protection stand point the 3D air mesh construction earned the Spark Air pants a AA abrasion resistance rating which is amazing considering that these pants flow a ton of air and can basically be seen through. You also get SEESMART CE-level 1 Knee Protectors and pockets to install REV’IT!’s SEESMART RV33 CE-level 1 Insert Hip Protectors as they are not included on the Spark Air pants. Also there is a nice laminated reflection piece on the upper legs to keep you visible.

Overall the Spark Air pants from REV’IT! will be your best friends in the hot summer riding situations as they do flow great amounts of air, they are also super comfortable from a fit and style standpoint so assuming that you don’t find the leg holes too small or too tight, as I did, you will have yourself a great pear of riding pants. :: Damir 3/28/24
