REV'IT! Neptune GTX Pants For Women

Please refer to the standard size chart below for ladies REVIT pants. We checked a size 40 regular in our showroom and found the waist to measure out at about 32” which is a little larger than the chart would suggest, but they have adjusters on each side of the waistband are Velcro straps for adjustment. There is approximately one or two inches/side of adjustability, so you can make the pants about 4” smaller than the max size we measured. The inseam on the size 40 regular measures 32” which is significantly longer than REVIT’s size chart indicates. I’ll have to admit, we didn’t have a full size run of pants to evaluate, but from what I see, the pants run about one size bigger than their size chart indicates.

The women’s Neptune GTX jacket and pants from REVIT are great street or touring product to take you through a variety of weather conditions from wet to dry and hot to cold. Both the jacket and pants are fitted with SeeFlex CE level 2 armor inserts in the shoulders elbows and knees. Hip armor is included for the pants and a back protector for the jacket is optionally available.

The Neptune GTX jacket and pants are each set up with a basic exterior shell along with two removable liners. One liner is a Genuine Gore-Tex rain liner and the other is a full length quilted thermal liner. So you can use one, both or neither depending on the circumstances. With both the Gore-Tex liner and thermal liner installed, you’ll be able to handle some pretty darn low temps. But with both out, the shell is a fairly lightweight and well vented. Both short rear and full-around zippers are provided in both the jackets and pants so you can connect the two to make a full riding suit. Connecting the two together helps keep the weather out, but is also a safety feature so if you fall, the jacket will not ride up nor with the pants be pulled down at the waist which will keep your torso protected by the jacket/pant shell material.

For summer use, REVIT has incorporated zippered vents into both the jacket and pants. The ladies version of the Neptune is built to conceal the vents and keep the garments light and fashionable. The men’s version of the Neptune GTX have larger flaps that deploy open where the ladies versions are concealed zippers for the same function. The jacket has zip vents in the chest and on the sleeve ends and then one horizontal vent in back. The pants have zip vents on each thigh. With the removable liners out and with the zips open, air can circulate through the shell to your body and improve the comfort in hot weather. I think the Neptune will work for all season except for perhaps hot summer temps (depending upon your tolerance for heat). This is at least, a 3 season product and will work well for wet weather too.

For fit customization, adjusters are provided on the jacket and pants too. The jacket has side waist adjusters and snaps on the sleeves to take up any excess material. The sides of the torso on the jacket have zippers to allow for expansion over the hip area if needed. The pants have sliding buckles on each side of the waist band to snug them down a bit if needed.

One neat feature for touring riders is that the Gore Tex removable layer in the jacket is fashioned as a “stand alone” destination piece, so you can wear it as a light waterproof jacket when you are off the bike. The thermal liner zips into the rain liner too, so you can wear both if it is cold outside. A feature like this really helps with packing space. On the back of the jacket shell is a large fanny pack where you can stow the liners if needed.
