PROTECTION FEATURES

Softshell is a class of woven material used to make clothing more breathable more flexible, and durable. It is highly comfortable and will keep the rider dry and warm.
SEESMART™ protectors offer the highest level of flexibility while still passing the EN1621-1:2012 CE-Level 1 impact tests, in both normal and hot conditions.
The back protector pocket in this REV’IT! garment is tailor-made to accommodate the SEESOFT™ CE-level 2 back protector insert Type RV – an easy upgrade to maximize safety.
This waterproof coating is applied to the inside of the garment’s inner lining, and the seams are taped to ensure that the garment is waterproof. The REV’IT! Hydratex G-liner coating is used in the construction of products that demand a basic level of all-weather protection.

Our VCS zippers are all located in strategic positions, where they offer excellent air flow to cool the body. The air flow can be regulated by opening or closing the zipper.
The zip-on hood can be easily removed from the coat. With the adjustment straps you can change the size of the hood to your personal preferences.
The loop at the back of this jacket enables you to attach it to your jeans, which prevents the jacket from creeping up: no more exposed back when riding your bike.
This garment has been designed with a race fitting shape, meaning it has been engineered for speed and a figure-hugging silhouette.

Sizing Information

We used a size 42 on our Fit Check Mannequin Shirley who is a standard size Large, Dress size 12. The jacket measured out correctly at 38” max chest. Max waist sizes are about 2” less than the max chest listed for each size.

Our Two Cents

The Afterburn H2O Jacket by REVIT is new for fall of 2020. This is a good looking, modern style for everyday street use. It comes in both men’s and women’s sizing. Armor is included along with a removable thermal liner and an detachable hood.

I really like the look and feel of this new jacket. The fabric used reminds me of modern casual wear by new brands like Public Rec (one of my new favs). The colors are “flat” and the material is matte and has a nice softer touch. The colors offered are super easy to mix with anything else you wear. The jacket includes a removable hood, which is detachable. The hood isn’t the type you wear under a helmet, but with the hood, the jacket can be a fully functional jacket on the street as well as on the bike. And besides, some people like the look of a hood even if they aren’t using it.

This jacket is equipped with an integral waterproof liner so you can use it with confidence in the rain. The main zipper is backed by another overlapping zippered closure to keep water out. I’d recommend this jacket for colder to mild weather. It had a vest-type removable thermal liner you can use in the cold, and it also has a couple zip vents on the sleeve ends along with a vent situated in the back for exhaust. With the main zipper open some, and with the sleeve zips open, you could flow some decent air to get you through spring and fall, but it won’t be comfortable in really hot temps I’m afraid.

This jacket comes with SeeSmart armor in the shoulders and elbows which is extremely thin and flexible. Thin armor like this allows for a more low profile fit which works with a more casual style like this. The jacket has a pocket in the liner for the addition of a back protector which you can purchase with the link below.

You have the option to connect the jacket to REVIT motorcycle pants with the short rear zipper in the back/inside of the jacket liner. The short zipper can also work with REVIT’s Safeway belt which you can use when wearing the jacket with jeans (see link below).

This a style like this makes sense for those that ride to work or school and may need a jacket throughout the day (off the bike). A style like this will work perfectly. Away from a motorcycle, nobody would even guess it is a protective jacket. :: Paul, 11-10-20
