Sizing Information
Cortech sells these leggings in women’s dress sizes from 4 to 20 in standard inseam and also short and tall inseams (sizes 8 thru 16). Here is a sizing summary from Cortech’s website:
Size | Waist | Inseam Tall | Inseam Regular | Inseam Short |
---|---|---|---|---|
Size 4 | 24 | - | 31 | - |
Size 6 | 26 | - | 31 | - |
Size 8 | 28 | 33 | 31 | 26 |
Size 10 | 30 | 33 | 31 | 26 |
Size 12 | 32 | 34 | 32 | 26 |
Size 14 | 34 | 34 | 32 | 26 |
Size 16 | 36 | 34 | 32 | 26 |
Size 18 | 38 | - | 32 | - |
Size 20 | 40 | - | 32 | - |
With the sample I have, I found the inseams measurement to be shorter than the chart indicates. For example, in the size 10 regular, the inseam measures 28”. Considering these are leggings and only designed to reach the top of the foot, it makes sense they’d be shorter than measurements you would associate with a jean style.
The waist of the size 10 measured 30” un-stretched which matches the chart. The material in these leggings is stretchy and they also have wide belt loops so you could wear a belt if it helped with the fit. There are no other means to secure the leggings on your body (such as a drawstring), so for safety sake, it may be best to wear a belt anyway to make sure they don’t come down in a fall.
Our Two Cents
The Lolo Leggings for Women by Cortech are a comfortable combination of stretch fabric reinforced with an interior layer of abrasion resistant material to improve crash protection. Knee armor units are included and pockets are provided for the addition of optional hip armor inserts (see link below).
The design of these leggings will give comfort and style and also some practical features for the motorcyclist. The main material is a black stretch material and the inside is lined with Kelvar reinforced fabric. The reinforcement goes from the waist, both front and back down past the knee armor, so you get good coverage. Two front pockets are included (although they are shallow). Belt loops are provided.
Armor units are included for the knees. It is a very thin flexible armor commonly found in jeans these days. You can add hip armor as already mentioned.
The overall thickness of the leggings is substantial with the two layers, so I’d recommend these for mild or colder weather use. I think in summer, they’d be uncomfortably warm. Overall, I think these are a nice product and feel great. :: Paul, 07-28-21
