Please have a look at the Z1R sizing chart below too choose a size. In most cases, you’ll be choosing the size you normally wear in women’s clothing.
The overall cut of the jacket looks nice. For our feature photos, we used a size XL jacket on our size mannequin Shirley who is a standard dress size 12 and usually wears a size large. The jacket is a bit loose, but fits as expected considering it is a size larger than she’d normally take. Our Two Cents
The Z1R 22 jacket is a simply styled full leather jacket with gun pockets. It is similar to the 35 special but with fewer styling queues and no venting.
Z1R black leather jackets are well made and sturdy! The leather is thick but soft and has a nice finish to it. And the styling and fit are right on target for the cruiser rider. You’ll find the basics here… quality black leather construction and armor compatiblity, a few creature comforts and of course dual gun pockets!
Take the “View Larger Images” link above to see some good close-ups of the specific features and also those gun pockets. There are actually two gun pockets and each one is lined with a heavy black canvas and also has a couple wide elastic straps to hold the hardware in place. The pockets close with double snaps.
The 22 model offers a basic style, but with a cut that is shaped for the female form. It offers a short mandarin style collar and zippered closures at the wrist. The hip area is adjustable by opening the two zippers on each side down low on the torso. In front there are two zippered hand warmer pockets.
For cooler weather, this jacket comes equipped with a removable full sleeve thermal liner to add a bit of insulation. There are no venting features here and a black leather jacket like this will be toasty in hot summer temps so consider this jacket as being good for cold to warm weather (but not hot weather).
The 22 jacket has provisions for shoulder, elbow and back armor. If you want to add those, we recommend the D3O armor (see links below). For a street style like this, I’d recommend the CE 1 rated armor, and for this ladies style, you’ll want to select the smaller size. :: Paul, 07-17-18
