Our Two Cents
These new Velocity 2.0 gloves from Joe Rocket get a styling update from the original Velocity gloves for women. The only significant functional changes I see is that the Velcro close strap is relocated to the top of the wrist where it might be a bit easier to grasp and we also note the gloves are now touch compatible for your phone or GPS use.
The synthetic palm has some thin foam padding and reinforced layers in the right places for durability and comfort. The entire back of this glove is made of a stretch material that breathes easily. There is a molded rubber protector situated across the knuckle area and the fingers get some rubber accents that add to the looks. These gloves are very thin and will not interfere with operation of the controls.
I always caution that lightweight inexpensive gloves like this don’t offer nearly the protection of more serious styles, but lots of riders are only looking for an easy-to-use pair like this. If that is your need, then these are a good choice. Take a look at our custom pictures of these gloves by clicking the “View Larger Images” link above. :: Paul, 05-03-16
