Sizing Information

We tried the size Medium in this jacket on Huey and we put an XL jacket on Dewey. These are the sizes they normally wear and both fit great. The jackets are roomy. My primary advice would be to wear the size you normally wear in men’s clothing. If you are between sizes I’d advise you to go down.

The chart provided by Speed and Strength shows chest sizes for each alpha size that are a bit larger than what you’d normally see for “standard” conversions from chest size to alpha size. Based on my observations (above), the chart seems just about right.

Size Small Medium Large XL 2XL 3XL
Chest 38-40 40-42 42-45 46-48 49-52 53-56
Sleeve 33 34 35 1/2 36 1/2 37 37 1/2

Our Two Cents

Here is a good compromise for those that like hoodies, but recognize that a hoodie alone (even an armored hoodie) doesn’t do well at all at protecting you from road rash. This jacket combines the two so the hoodie will add a bit of warmth and can also do double duty when off the bike. The jacket shell is made of tough material much like you see with other textile jackets. We shot our close-up pics with the “Vintage” color which is somehow made to look well-worn, so the whole thing has a vintage sort of look. There is also a plain grey or orange/black choice for Harley riders. Take the view larger images link above to see the “look” and also the features. I think the use of the hoodie with the shell is a great idea! :: Paul, 12-26-13

I had the original Off The Chain jacket for a while, but it got stolen. I almost settled for a Street and Steel Anarchy (similar style, but I wasn't a fan of the Sons of Anarchy wannabe patches, plus it was less comfortable and had no inside pocke... (Read more...)
